We had a great time this past week celebrating!! Being a family united, we get to celebrate both Canada Day and the 4th of July. On Wednesday night we went the San Clemente Pier for a little Canada Day celebration and to do something with Matthew before he headed back to Utah. It was our last chance to hang out before we see him again for the wedding. It was a little chilly for a July evening so we enjoyed some hot chocolate and the kids played a quick game of checkers.
On the 3rd we went to Balboa Island and took a trip in the harbor with my Aunt Lori, Steven and the girls Emma and Amanda. It was beautiful. There were boats all over, people riding bikes, swimming and enjoying the day. It was fun to see all the flags flying.

On the 4th we did the traditional all day at T-street beach. The guys got down early to stake out our spot and we came around 11 with the kids. We all had a wonderful time. We always watch the firework show off the pier but this year we decided to leave before the babies had a melt down. We ended up watching the firework show in our community. It was complete with music and some great fireworks. Plus we were able to see 3 other shows going on in the background. It was the perfect end to a great day!!
We are blessed to enjoy our freedoms!!!
