We have Calgary on the brain this week!
This week I have received a lot of reminder e-mails for the Calgary International Children's Festival which will be held in Calgary next week. It was a tradition for us to attend the festival while we lived in Calgary. We never missed it. I remember the first time I went to the festival with Audrey. It was a few months after we moved to Calgary and the first time I really spent time downtown. Calgary is a wonderfully unique and beautiful city. It's clean, safe, has a wonderful park filled with trees and all sorts of critters, surrounded by beautiful tall buildings - all with the Bow river running right through it. We spent a lot of time walking around downtown and enjoying different events and the feel of the city during the five years we lived in Calgary. For me, jumping on the C-Train with the kids and going to the different shows and events at the festival was a highlight every year.
