We have been enjoying each day of the summer with all sorts of fun activities. Here are just a few
Eating lunch in "The Clubhouse" because.....

the table is too cluttered with crafts and other fun things!
The Brown's were in town for the 4th of July so a group of us celebrated by watching the fireworks in our community. We were all so impressed with the show! We were right next to the action and could hear and feel the big bangs. There was patriotic music and lights and everything you could want in a celebration. I have to give a big thanks to our group for not being totally angry with me for making them walk the 5 miles or so to the event. Long story but I misread a sign and we ended up walking with 5 children in tow while all the rest of the spectators drove past us to their very close parking spots. You were all troopers - Thanks!!
We hit the lake for a little fishing. Jaden caught a fish the last time they were in town. Carter and Audrey were the lucky ones this time. They were thrilled! Thanks to Captain Doug for baiting all the hooks - good thing because Shauna and I were not too excited about having to handle the live bait.
The Madsens were in town and we decided to try out a new venue called Pretend City. It turned out to be a blast. Take a look at the website for a better description but imagine a city where kids are in control. They work to earn stamps on a timecard that they bring to the ATM to earn their own money. It was hours of pretend play and lots of laughs. Elizabeth and I were able to chat while the kids explored every inch of the city. Lots of fun!
The Gang
(can you believe that Audrey and Kaj were born 3 days apart?)
A few of the buildings in Pretend City

This was the pretend bathroom in the pretend house. Brady couldn't get over the fact that he could flush the toilet over and over again and no one was telling him to stop. He would look at me every time so I finally had to take a picture.

Carter working as a Cook in the Cafe to fill my order

Kaj performing on stage - he had a boy doubled over in laughter

Carter and Kane on stage
End of the day parade through the farm
Cousin Tiffany and Aunt Celia brought the kids down to play at the Big Red Bucket. All the kids had a great time playing in the water together.

Riley was so happy to get in on the action

Brady, Carter, Audrey, Jensen, Tyler, Riley and Callie after a great day
This is how I feel realizing that it is already the middle of July. How does time go by so fast in the summer? We will have to continue to enjoy our days because September will be here before we know it!!
