It's Official

Thursday marked the first day of summer in the Saunder's household.....yahoooo!

With the end of school we found we had a busy month. Here is what life was like as we celebrated another school year's end......

We were able to celebrate my great, great cousin Geri's 80th birthday. The boys decided to dig a large hole in the middle of the volleyball court in her honor. Isn't that what everyone wants on their 80th birthday?!?

We pulled the first radish from the garden. Audrey and Carter both tried it. Carter gladly let Audrey finish it off.

Brady turned 2!
His favorite part was blowing out the candles so we let him do it a number of times!

Audrey's class held a Kids vs. Parents softball game. Dave was out of town so Matthew (who happened to be visiting for a few days) stepped in while the boys and I cheered from the sidelines.

Audrey's class presented their end of the year play "The History of Orange County". They worked so hard and did such a wonderful job!! There were a number of songs to memorize, parts to play, swing dancing and square dancing. I was very impressed. The kids loved learning about the history of our area. Having Native Americans, Catholic Missionaries, Pioneers, Cowboys, Walt Disney, John Wayne and Surfers makes for a very entertaining plot. Audrey was the best Orange Expert I have ever seen!

Carpool gang celebrating the final day of school with ice cream

We've been to Heather's new house and have enjoyed grabbing ice cream in the neighborhood

Audrey had her Jazz recital yesterday. It was fun to watch her on stage. She had great facial expressions and danced with confidence. She did a great job!

Tonight we finally made it over to see new baby Kailyn. She is a pink bundle of joy! It was fun to hear her little sounds as she was sleeping. She has the cutest little lips and soft dark hair. I can't wait to hold her again!

Yay for summer!
I loved Audrey's costume. How fun! I wish I could have been there to see it, but I look forward to seeing her perform on video.

Good posts! I haven't read the blogs in a while, and just read that one about The Lion King. I love that song too. I cry every time I watch the Disney movie, and I cried at the show too. I am at work and almost cried right now from the post! Thanks for writing those-I thoink that was my bow in your hair in 1992!
