When I was in California it seemed that everyone was watching "So you think you can Dance". Tonight I had to fold laundry (and I was procrastinating the Shade stuff I needed to do) so I tuned in to the Season Finale......I'm still trying to figure out what I was watching. Let me tell you what I saw and all you out there (Cara, Heather, Emily) can explain to me why you love the show.
1. The Host was wearing the craziest dress I have ever seen. It was like a brown tutu and half an evening dress collided with a swarm of butterflies. Not to mention the rope in her hair?
2. Who is the little robot man that came out and danced?
3. Does anyone else hear how the women judge laughs?
4. The routines were pretty good but some were a bit crazy, a little uncomfortable when the couples looked like they were going to make out.
Maybe you have to see it from the beginning. I don't think I am sold. It sure would be fun to be able to dance like that! My 2-step while clapping my hands kind of to the beat wouldn't cut it!

Lisa, you are too funny! This is Marilee! Anyway, I like the show but am with you on the crazy host and her weird outfits. The woman judge drives me NUTS. Not just her laugh but everything about her, her voice, her comments, ahhhh! And the "make out" dance routines are WAY uncomfortable! Especially when you consider that half of the fans are young 8-10 year old girls! Way to go on pointing out what most people know but refuse to admit! :-)
Uhmmm...you can get down!!! remember the JT concert? I agree that the host looked bad..she was going for Sarah Jessica Parker I think but it didn't quiet work out for her. It took me awhile to like the show too and I don't freak if I miss an episode like of America's Next Top Model...now that's a show!
I only watched 1 1/2 episodes and thought it was entertaining being able to Tivo through to the dances. The hosts outfit was crazy! It reminded me of Bjork's dress with the dead goose!
I'm into it because I'm fascinated by a) the outfits-on most episodes they show clips of them practicing and I just can't get over the get-ups they seem to wear, b)the music-sometimes I really like the songs they pick, some I've never heard before, and c) of course I wish I could dance like that, and d) I had crushes on Pasha and Neil. I'm right there with you on your critiques, I usually just fast forward most of it, although, I'm often intrigued by that host's apparel as well, it's like she's a different person each week! So you think you can dance?! Come on, the first time I ever saw it was at your house, remember?

You probably don't remember me. (dated Spencer my freshman year and am cousins with Jim Daly from Mission Viejo...?) Anyway, Melissa (boot) Nash sent me this link and I wanted to check you guys out. Your family is beautiful and you managed to get EVEN prettier AFTER having kids! How's that!?
Anyway, your blog is funny and I've thought about you and stacy a few times because I moved to Stamford, CT, which is right next to New Canaan, where I think her family moved? Are they still here?
