Urban Decay

It is hard to write down you thoughts everyday. I think that is why I have always failed at writing in a journal. I have actually tried to carry around a piece of paper and make a note of things that have been said or that are interesting that I could post an entry about, but some days are not as exciting as others. I think I would rather carry around a small camera and just take pictures of events and happenings instead of writing about them. I think pictures say more than words.....maybe that is why I like to watch movies instead of read books.......hey this is starting to be a therapy session for me.

I found a cool website the other day that was interesting. www.opacity.us is a website about Urban Decay. The pictures are kind of freaky because they are of old hospitals, schools, asylums etc. It is interesting that someone has made his lifes work out of these sorts of pictures. I wish I knew the history behind all of the pictures. I think it would interesting to go to some of theses places and walk through them.

Speaking of pictures, I still don't have any of the family to post....sorry Lisa, but I will put some up shortly. I do have a couple cool pictures that caught my eye when I saw them for whatever reason. This is a guy repelling in the Baffin Islands. Pretty cool picture for me, only because the Baffin Islands are so unique and different.

I think these guys are insane to sleep in a tent bolted to the side of a cliff! These are more climbers in the Baffin Islands. I think I would like to do this on a smaller scale........maybe sleeping from a tent bolted to the side of my bed or something.

I would love to do more outdoor stuff. I really want to hike the West Coast Trail this year. I am trying to convince the young mens presidency to go on the camp this year with the boys. Time will tell if we go or not.
