I played hockey at the Tuscany Club last night with Jeff, Chuck, Craig and Parker Steele. It was a good time, but very crowded. There was about 50 kids out playing last night. The weather was awesome, the play was fast and the times were good. That is one of my most enjoyable things to do is to play hockey on an outdoor rink. I think we are planning on playing again Saturday morning. I love the little guys that come out that can't be any more than 10 years old and are skating circles around most the kids. I hope that Carter takes a liking to hockey and starts to rip around the rink at a young age.

Next week I start to work on my recurve bow. We ordered the wood and supplies back before the wards split, but have not had the chance to get out and actually start to make the bows because of the change of wards, and holidays etc. I am excited to start the project. It is going to be a 50 lbs. bow with blonde birds eye maple and a strip of black running through the middle. It should look nice. We made hunting knifes last year which was also enjoyable and turned out well. It is fun and satisfying to work on projects like this. I am not the best at working with wood and constructing things from scratch, but it does give me a great sense of accomplishment to finish a project like this and have it look beautiful in the end. Who knows maybe I will learn how to shoot it well and go bow hunting this year.

That bow looks awesome. How long is it going to take to make it??
i'm in on the Bow - we can set up target out back and if we miss we might kill a deer or moose
So Heather told me about this, it is hillarious!!!! I am sorry your trip was canceled, yeah, it wasn't much but a drizzle for Saturday....
What is up with the bow??? Do you have to start hunting for your dinner.
Plan on Lake Powell, last week of August!!!
