"Your passport please"

New Years has to be one of the most over rated "holidays" on the planet. There is always all of this excitement surrounding that magical minute when the clock strikes midnight, but in the end it is always pretty blaw. I guess the upside to New Years is having the chance to hang out with friends and family all night. Nothing wrong with that.

Lisa tried to shake things up this year and found a dance party going on at the Fox Sports Bar & Grill at the Irvine Spectrum. We tried to get in the doors but the bouncer after reading every square inch of my ALberta drivers license told me that I could not get in to the party unless I showed him my passport first! Are you kidding me? My passport! Obviously we didn't stay and dance very long much to Lisa's dissapointment. Instead of dancing the night away we went home, watched the ball drop on the t.v. and then went to bed. Another exciting New Years. Sorry Lisa, I will try harder next year.

Dave,
Doug gave me the link to your blog and I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am that you are doing this! My friend Missy has a blog that I check daily (sometimes hourly?!) and now I am addicted to reading blogs!
We missed you at the parade-it was quite an experience! Shauna got some good "footgage" though that she'll have to send you. Anyway, keep up the good work-great use of graphics too! I'd start a blog except I think I'd get obsessed with it. Besides, I'd rather read everyone else's. I'm going to check out Jessica's too. Have a great day at work!
Love, Heather

maybe you are just maturing. walking away from a game is nothing - walking away from responsibilities is something - it's called irresponsibility. your just becoming what you are supose to become - honest, hard working, responsible, caring father. i hope you do more walking away - cause i know it will be for the right reason
